<image:title>Who Cares? - Compassionate Community</image:title>
<image:caption>By accepting that individual Caregivers might be afraid to ask for help, this concept seeks to normalises the giving of help to Caregivers, by creating new touch points in the community for Caregiver support services. Taking advantage of the places with frequent contact between residents, Kind Eyes is a service that helps to find and support Caregivers in the neighbourhood. Local shops are encouraged to use their direct social links to channel Caregivers to social services. Furthermore, offering a helping hand can happen through CareExchange which has a digital platform where people in the community can post and accept requests for help with caring, removing the embarrassing element of physical and face-to-face requests. Needs and demands of Caregivers can also be expressed and matched to garner support through a card exchange system on the community noticeboard at void decks or via a mobile app.</image:caption>

<image:title>Who Cares? - Care Class</image:title>
<image:caption>One idea to increase the awareness of caring for others is for the CareHub to offer training services to schools under the programme name Care Class. This is an experiential curriculum organised by life stage that helps students explore the value of caring, and how they can be caring citizens to their friends, family, schoolmates, community in a participatory and hands-on way. They could explore how caring happens across Singapore, from the past till the present, and learn about other student groups who are contributing to caring for their nation.</image:caption>

<image:title>Who Cares? - Care Navigaid</image:title>
<image:caption>Care Navigaid is a toolkit to help families better share the tasks and experiences of caregiving amongst themselves and their community. It comprises of the app CareCope which helps them manage, share and transfer their responsibilities to family and friends. CareCope has a Ventilator functionality (venting their emotions), shows their CareStream (overview of all logistics and experiences), has a CareLibrary (a user-generated resource) and has CareExchange (to help Caregivers reach out in their communities).</image:caption>

<image:title>Who Cares? - CareFit</image:title>
<image:caption>As Singapore relies increasingly on informal family Caregivers, it is imperative that Caregivers realise the need to take care of themselves, in order for them to keep up the stamina and continue to be long-term Caregivers. With that in mind, this concept focuses on helping Caregivers realise the importance of their personal wellbeing.</image:caption>

<image:title>Who Cares? - The WayForward Program</image:title>
<image:caption>The WayForward Program introduces a much needed role into the social care system, that of a navigator for Caregivers; someone who understands the family context and supports the Caregiver's needs. The programme consists of a ProcCare Journal (provides these Family Managers with a resource guide and set of tools) and the ProCare App (allows social workers and Family Managers to have a direct line of communication with Caregivers, enabling them to follow and support the Caregiver in their day-to-day caregiving).</image:caption>
</image:image>
<image:image>
<image:loc>https://static1.squarespace.com/static/590c30d229687fec92f714f1/596ec0dacf81e0eea09b9c06/596eef0f4c0dbfe650af4cd5/1500543085577/blueflag.jpg</image:loc>
<image:title>Who Cares? - Blue Flag Protocol</image:title>
<image:caption>During a healthcare appointment, medical professionals in the community, such as General Practitioners who are embedded in neighbourhoods, are able to follow a new protocol that marks out a family that is facing a complex care challenge. They can then refer the family and Caregiver to social care professionals, such as a Family Manager based at the Care Hub. These in turn can reach out and proactively support the Caregiver and their social care needs - personal, emotional and practical. Furthermore, using the CareCloud care professionals can stay in touch and collaborate to establish continuity in support between health- and social-care.</image:caption>

<image:title>Who Cares? - From Crises to Prises</image:title>
<image:caption>This concept is about tools and training to help Caregivers capture, review and analyse their crisis situations in order to learn from them. Based on their personal crisis history and profile, they can attend tailored training programmes at the Care Hub, with the goal of building resilience and capabilities in dealing with crises. As Caregivers develop their crisis management skills, they can eventually grow to become coaches of other Caregivers facing similar situations.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Shadowing in India on the go for a technology provider We went back to our research locations and had a few co-creation sessions with the initial participants and the clients, co-creating new concepts within the opportunity areas matching the user’s needs. We have used the ‘Dragon Den’ method to stimulate the participants in coming up with concepts. We analysed the worldwide results and broke down the concepts into smaller ideas. Using a Conjoint analysis, we analysed which of the concept aspects were most appealing to the target market and we created a solid advice to the technology provider.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Observation in India for a technology provider Together with Cresense I have conducted a worldwide study to for a technology provider to come up with new smartphone concepts for the middle-class consumer worldwide. I was responsible for the India part of the research. Through shadowing, observation, an online diary tool and interviewing we were able to gather rich and deep user insights which we translated into insight themes and personas. During a workshop with the client, we combined the data of all 3 locations (India, China & Germany) and distinguished opportunity areas.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Before we delved into field research, we conducted a kick-off workshop in which we established version 0 of the patient experience journey of Diabetic Retinopathy Subsidized (DRS) patients. We then invited the Singapore National Eye Center (SNEC) inovation team to role-play the service journey at the clinic to validate and learn more about the actual spaces and service. This lead to version 1 of the patient experience journey. With this journey in mind, we started preparing and setting up for the actual fieldwork. Here you see version 2, the first map after fieldwork.</image:caption>

<image:title>Healthy Parenting</image:title>
<image:caption>The SUPER eater gift set: By addressing the needs of parents (need to feel valued for parenting, to be approached in a positive manner and to experience easy dinners with young kids), parents are motivated to follow up on the advocated SUPER eater practices. The SUPER eater practices are all simply worded and each can be found on a practical tool that makes adherence to the practice easier. The gift set shifts focus from ‘healthy eating’ to ‘easy eating’, something all parents strive for. The gift set translates and embodies parenting practices in practical and visual tools so that they can be put to practice. This way, the set enables parents to use authoritative parenting practices, which are associated with lower rates of obesity, and makes meal time easier and more fun for both parents and children. Although the set doesn’t prescribe what is healthy or good, the set triggers reflection on healthy eating in a low-key way.</image:caption>
